Employee Safety

The most important asset at Diamond Communications is our people. In the event of a break-in, robbery, or burglary, employees are expected to fully comply with the threatening individual(s) and immediately seek shelter for themselves, and any customers present, in a safe area (example: the back room). Under no circumstances should an employee confront the individual(s) or pursue the individual(s) out of the store. If the store is equipped with panic buttons, they are not to be used while individual(s) are inside the store.

Post Incident

  • The Retail Store Employee and/or Manager (RSM) secures the location (by locking the front door) and immediately notify law enforcement of the incident by calling 911.
  • The RSM contacts the District Manager (DM) and Operations Manager (OM). The OM will notify Diamond Communications Leadership and Local Metro Team.
  • The RSM will obtain the contact information of all employees and customers present during the incident for reporting to T-Mobile and Diamond Communications. Law enforcement will want to obtain statements from everyone present. The OM, in conjunction with the DM, will secure video footage of the incident and provide to law enforcement.
  • The RSM is responsible for completing one of the following inventory counts:
    • FULL-DEVICE count if only devices (including DEMOs) were taken during the incident
    • FULL-ALL count if devices (including DEMOs) and accessories were taken during the incident
  • The DM or OM will complete the T-Mobile Incident Report (found in the Dealer Portal) and provide all applicable information for the incident (i.e. date/time, details of the incident, witnesses/employee information, loss of product, etc).
  • Provide the Incident Report number to the Local Metro Team and Diamond Communication Leadership.

The OM will work with the RSM to repair/replace any broken fixtures as well as DEMO conversions of A-stock devices. The DM may be needed to procure A-stock devices for conversion if the store does not have any available.
